Reggie Bush Was Pretty Good in High School, Too
ESPN (among others) is currently airing a series of Nike ads showing highlights from the high school careers of Michael Vick and LaDanian Tomlinson. Nice ads, and it is quite entertaining to see snippets of those guys at the high school level. But neither holds a candle to the Reggie Bush high school highlights, written about today in the New York Times, with the video linked from the article here. Take the time to watch this video; as the article says, "the footage of Bush... can induce dizzy spells, even for a jaded viewer numbed by hours of cable highlight shows." Translation: if it made my jaw drop, it should make yours as well.

but I wouldn't call it Noel Devine'ish... and for all of the people who might be scratching their heads saying "Who's Noel Devine?".. well he's a JUNIOR (not in 12th grade yet) from Ft. Myers Florida. Arguebly the number one player in the nation regardless of grade since he was a sophmore.

Reggie Bush is no Noel Devine...that is true, because Noel Devine doesnot posses the skill level that Reggie does. That film is amazing, he zigs, zag, jukes, spins, powers and flat out runs over, past and through any defender. Bush did the same thing in HS as he did in college, that is way crazy, dude is redic....
So his team played the worst defenses ever in two games worth of highlights...big deal. Any offensive skill player in mel kipers top 50 could score on that lame defense. His college career was impressive but this high school crap is not. Every high school in the nation has some video locked up that they bring out and watch every year and talk about that one great player they had back in 88 or whatever year. Noel Divine appears much faster than Bush at the high school level
WOW!! I mean what more is there to say?! Dude is amazing, and he hasn't even started to grow yet. At first I thought, he must have good linemen, but he did 90% himself! Barry Sanders comes to mind when I see this kid breaking tackles two steps in to his run. I can't wait to see this guy on the next level. Is he sure he doesn't want to go to FSU?!

Guess who was throwing to Reggie Bush in most of these videos? None other than last year's previous number 1 pick Alex Smith. When i played these guy's in high school we held Reggie to around 200 yards, and we felt like that was a victory. Also, Alex Smith wasn't that good in high school. He really came into his own at Utah. Anyway's Reggie was even better in person then he is on these videos. Most of these plays are against some of the bad teams in San Diego. We still lost by 10 and we were top 5 in the county. Went to Fallbrook High. Reggie is insane, that's all!
Haha, just realized the last highlight of the video, the red team with a big "F" in the middle of the field, was my team haha... I was wondering when I would see us. Anyways Alex Smith was #7 in high school.
This tape is amazing, I'm really glad it was made available. As far as Noel Devine goes, in my opinion, (which is strictly based on high school film alone) Noel's high school film is better. It's not really close, Noel has more highlights, better highlights, and he still has another year left of highschool to make new highlights. I wouldn't go as far as some Devine fans, and say he's better then Reggie Bush. That's ridiculous, Reggie Bush is a Hiesman Trophy winner, who was the 2nd pick in the NFL Draft. Noel's good, but he's got a long way to go untill we start comparing him to "The President".
